Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Gangetic West Bengal and active over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Coastal Karnataka during past 24 hours. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. However, Moderate to heavy rain today lashed the national capital leading to water logging in many areas. The city has registered 14.5-millimeter rainfall giving respite to the people from humid weather conditions. Delhi government has launched a helpline number by setting up a 24X7 centralised control room to register complaints about water-logging in the city. The helpline number is 1800118595 where residents can call and register their complaints about water-logging. |
