6.8 earthquake strikes off Fiji

A powerful 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Fiji today but there is no threat of a tsunami. US seismologists said, the offshore quake hit at 9:28 am local time and was centred around 100 km northeast of Ndoi Island in Fiji. Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said there is no tsunami threat.
