JOINT PROTEST DEMONSTRATION AGAINST ECONOMIC EMERGENCY & DEMONETISATION

Deeply concerned about the sudden demonetisation of 500 & 1000 Rs. notes without any 'preparation', which is causing panic and great crisis all over the country. The direct sufferers are those who are poor, vulnerable and marginalised. The situation is deteriorating every moment. A new web of black economy started operating in every corner. The available banking infrastructures are collapsing and not responding to this serious challenge. There are long queues for money and 3 innocent citizens already have died collapsing in bank queues to exchange money.
A number of organizations are organising a Dharna against Economic Emergency in the form of Demonetisation at Jantar Mantar on November 14th, from 12 noon to 2 pm.
The demonstration will appeal to the Judiciary of India to think about the consequences for common people of India and take the necessary actions to prevent the traumatic crisis.
The eminent economists, intellectuals, activists and others will speak at the Dharna. A large number of other prominent activists, writers, poets, intellectuals and trade union and youth leaders will also be present at the demonstration.
