‘Labour migration and social change in South Asia’,

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

The Centre for Social Sciences and Humanities (CSH) and Centre for Policy Research (CPR) will be holding a Seminar on ‘Labour migration and social change in South Asia’, on 27th March 2017, New Delhi.

Our CSH researcher Dr. Tristan Bruslé and Senior researcher at CPR Mukta Naik are hosting this workshop under the auspices of Tata Trusts’ SHRAMIC initiative.
Call for papers are now opened.
This seminar offers a platform for young researchers, scholars and practitioners to share thoughts and receive feedback on current research about labour migration and the social changes it induces in sending and receiving communities. We invite papers from PhD scholars as well as young researchers and practitioners engaging with issues of migration and social change.

Interested researchers must send their abstracts (of up to a 1000 words) and a current CV to Mukta Naik (mukta@cprindia.org) and Tristan Bruslé (tristan.brusle@csh-delhi.com).

Submission of abstracts: 16th January 2017

Announcement of selected papers: 23rd January 2017
Submission of full papers: 13th March 2017
Workshop date: 27th March 2017

Looking forward to meeting many of you at the occasion of this workshop,
Kind regards,

Prof. Leïla Choukroune
Director of the CSH
