Eco cities four MOUs with Japan
2010-05-01 04:10:19 - Indo Japan jointly to develope Eco - Cities,the Smart Communities on Delhi Mubai corridor where people will have easy access to public transport and cities so design to utilise the private and public transport with bare minimum cost.Water and Power with smart use and smart grid is next buzz words.

In order to dilute migration to the mega metros New Delhi and Mumbai, the planned cities are the need of the hours which can take load of the growing Middle class families with rapid pace of Indian economic development.Roads corridor the essential services to transport is under government attention and the Rail cooridors that has been so effective in China
has not received the Indian government attention.
Delhi Mumbai Industrial corridor DMIC running through Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, Gujarat,Maharasthra,and Madhya pradesh is being developed in collaboration with Japan Government along with japan Inc Mitsubishi,Toshiba,Hitachi,JGC,Itochu etc as a global manufacturing and trading hub.


India and Japan on Friday signed four memorandum of understanding for building future cities of India.The eco friendly cities will be built in the Delhi Mumbai industrial corridor, at a cost of 90 billion dollars.

Union Commerce and Industry minister Anand Sharma said the largest ever project in the world, will be completed within nine years.The Minister said that the initial face will comprise eleven investment jones and thirteen industrial parks.
Sharma exuded confidence that this development cum investment Project will boost India's export up to four times.Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Naoshima, said that the Smart Community Initiative, has the potential to revolutionize infrastructure development and emerge as a role model that can be taken to other parts of the world.Under the agreements Japanese consultants will launch fesibility studies to set up the first set of Smart Communities in Manesar Bawal region in Haryana, Dahej and Changodar in Gujarat and Shendra industrial region in Maharashtra.
