Baba Ramdev to go ahead with Fast:
Baba and three minister huddled together in Claridges hotel for five-hour marathon meeting, the government and Baba Ramdev on Friday failed to reach a compromise on the demands raised by the yoga guru, Baba said he will launch his indefinite fast on Saturday as planned.Media waited patiently to know the outcome of the meeting at a Claridges hotel in New Delhi, HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said the two sides had constructive dialogue on several matters and they are very happy with the progress but these issues cannot be resolved in a day."We have yet not reached a compromise and I will sit on fast (from Saturday)," Ramdev said after his meeting with Kapil Sibal and Subodh Kant Sahai.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also briefed President Pratibha Patil on the deliberations.Sibal said the government has responded positively to the Baba's suggestions and hoped that Ramdev will do "what is right".Kapil further added," the government has responded in writing to the Yoga guru on all the issues including black money and corruption.Answering a query, he said, there are some serious issues which cannot be resolved in a day as they have long term implications.
Sibal said, the government has assured Ramdev that all the issues raised by him will be looked into seriously and whatever possible steps needed to address them will be taken."
