Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Disasters are potential threats to business and community both due to their severe nature for mass destruction. CBRN emergencies may occur due to accidental spills, chemical reactions, biological agents, exposure to radioactive & nuclear material.  CBRN risks have increased due to trafficking and dual-use nature of CBRN Materials.
Industries must protect themselves by safeguarding and procuring equipment, control devices, safety & protective clothing, securitizing their systems and assets against these threats. Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Government of India jointly with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), UK-CBRN and Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of United Kingdom is organizing a “Conference and Exhibition of CBRN Disaster Management & Security” at FICCI, Delhi on Feb. 16-17, 2012.
The objectives of the conference cum exhibition would be a) Harnessing  Inherent Potential to Develop an Export Agenda for Globally Useful Technologies b) Assessing Potential Foreign Technologies Available for Acquisition and Co-development c) Identification of Grey Areas Both in R&D Sector and Industrial Sector for Joint Partnership; d) Devising Mechanism to Foresee Futuristic Common Needs in CBRN Defence and Road Ahead.
We are expecting more than 200 delegates from throughout India and abroad to attend the two days conference cum exhibition on Feb 16-17, 2012. More than 15 UK organizations are exhibiting their products, services and technologies as well as they are interested in meeting Indian businessmen for B2B meetings.
