Flood, landslides kill 7 in Indonesia

Indonesia, the massive flood and landslides in Ambon, the capital city of eastern Maluku province, has killed seven people. A spokesman of the Indonesian Disaster Mitigation Agency, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said, the casualties took place following torrential downpour in the region since yesterday causing landslides and heavy flood that inundated houses in the city's neighborhood.

The official said four of the victims died from landslides. The heavy downpour in Indonesia's eastern region was an impact of tropical cyclone of Saola, hitting north Philippines' territory at present.
