AirAsia wins ‘Best Low-Cost Airline’ award from Business Traveller Asia Pacific



SEPANG, 1 October 2012 – AirAsia buttresses its status as the best player in the low-cost carrier segment, by attaining top spot in the ‘Best Low-Cost Airline’ category at Business Traveller Asia-Pacific’s annual Travel Awards ceremony held at the Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong last week.The Travel Awards ceremony is a premier annual event for the past 21 years and looked forward to by top players in the travel and hospitality industry.
The ‘Best Low-Cost Airline’ is a brand new category introduced this year in recognition to the growing force of budget carriers and AirAsia was the first to assume the honour.

AirAsia was chosen as the inaugural award winner through votes by Business Traveller readers, recognizing the airline as a service provider which has maintained impeccable standards and making journeys seamless and productive.







Between April and June of this year, Business Traveller Asia-Pacific sent out poll forms to its subscribers, regarded as some of the region’s most experienced frequent travellers. This yielded a response rate of 20.22 percent. The results were compiled by market research specialist Ipsos. A listing will appear in the October 2012 issue of the magazine, with a more detailed feature to follow in the November 2012 issue.
