Doris Burse and Kamal Nath signs MoU to form two smart cities in every state


Briefing the media Austrian Federal Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology Mrs Doris Burse, Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath two ministers said the two countries are to extend co-operation inn  tranport innovation and technology for smart cities in India .They met in the capital. Austrian Federal Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology Mrs Doris Burse said close co-operation to exist metro technology,cordinating joint ventures for transportation innvation to build smart cities  with broadband,carbon  neturality

KamalNath said that these smart cities will have population of 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs. The cities will have a concept of green building and all other modern facility components for which cooperation of Austrian Institute of Technology will be taken. He said India is looking for the Metro Rail and springs and other components in which Austria has expertise.
The government has said that it will soon set up smart cities in the country with all ultramodern facilities like intelligent and intregated transport system, broad band and carbon neutralizers. Addressing a joint press conference in New Delhi with visiting Austrian Federal Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology Mrs Doris Burse, Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath said that initially two such smart cities will be created in every state under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, JNNURM.
