Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to you today to share the details for Porter Prize 2013. Porter Prize recognizes the strategic acumen of corporates in India and is named after the renowned philosopher, thinker, Harvard faculty member and Father of modern strategic field Professor Michael E. Porter. He is a leading authority on Competitive Strategy, Competitiveness and Economic Development of Nations, States and Regions, and the application of competitive principles to social problems such as healthcare, the environment, and corporate responsibility.

Similar to last year (Porter Prize 2012)  we shall continue the journey to identify and celebrate the best.  Last year twenty-eight exceptional companies were shortlisted for the Porter Prize and eventually we had seven winners across six categories.

Porter Prize as you know would be given under the following categories –

·      Industry Architectural Shift
·      Creating Distinctive Value
·      Leveraging Unique Activities
·      Exploiting Tradeoffs
·      Creating Shared Value (in association with FSG)
·      Value Based Healthcare

We invite your organization to make an application for the Porter Prize 2013. The award has a robust three-stage process of making an application, strategy audit and jury evaluation. This year we are being extensively supported by Roland Berger during the strategy audit process that would make the process even more robust and a learning experience.
