The Aam Aadmi Party appeals to the people of Trilokpuri and its surrounding areas in East Delhi to maintain peace and calm, and completely ignore vicious rumours being spread in the area with the intention of flaring up communal passions.
AAP leaders are monitoring the situation round the clock and ground reports from the communal violence hit area make it clear that vested interests made all out attempts to instigate communal riots.
Party leaders Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia, along with Trilokpuri and Kondli MLAs Raju Dhingan and Manoj Kumar have apprised the leadership of the situation prevailing in Trilokpuri.
Based on the field report, the AAP demands that Delhi Police must immediately complete its probe into who made 192 fake calls to the Police Control room (PCR).
These calls were made with the intention of misleading the Police and spreading panic through hoax calls.
Delhi Police, which has now deployed its personnel in adequate strength to bring the situation under control, has a lot to explain in this incident and it should not soft pedal its probe into who was behind these calls.
The Police also cannot ignore the role of former BJP MLA Sunil Kumar Vaidya, against whom there is sufficient evidence of having conspired to  create communal discord in the area.
Local residents have also told the AAP leaders that close aides of Vaidya were involved in sending hate messages through Whats App  which were particularly aimed at spreading hatred against a particular community.
The AAP will hand over the mobile number to the Police for complete investigation into this matter.
The AAP is also handing over video evidence to the Police which shows the communal violence was pre-planned and the entire conspiracy needs to be exposed.
Central government must take all necessary steps to wake up the unresponsive and unaccountable Delhi administration from its slumber before it is too late.   (ENDS)

Anna Maria Island Selected as one of the
Top 30 Islands in the World by Conde Nast Traveler Readers
2014 Readers’ Choice Awards Winners Announced, Island Clinches No. 26 Spot

Mumbai, October, 2014 – The Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is thrilled to announce that Anna Maria Island has been named one of the world’s top islands, byConde Nast Traveler Readers.

The popular travel magazine recently released the winners of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, which ranks top cities, hotels, resorts, spas and cruiselines in the world, based on readers’ votes. One of only 11 U.S. islands on the list, and the only representative from Florida, Anna Maria Island clinched the No. 26 spot, with a readers’ rating of 81.373.

Anna Maria is described by Conde Nast Traveler as a “narrow band off Florida’s west coast, this barrier island has some of the softest, whitest sand on the East Coast. And as it faces west, it’s a stunning place to watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico. Pro tip: At seven miles long and two miles wide, Anna Maria Island is a great place for a leisurely biking trip along the water. By-the-hour cycle rentals are available at Beach Bums.”

This year, votes were received from more than 77,000 readers, and each entry was judged on a set of criteria related to its category and using a standard five-point rating scale from excellent to poor. The mean average of all ratings determined the final score.

“This ranking confirms how special Anna Maria Island is to not only to our community, but to visitors as well,” said Elliott Falcione, executive director at the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Anna Maria Island is so much more than seven miles of beautiful sugar white sand beaches, it’s a community that is low rise, low key, with an old Florida setting that sets itself apart from other islands.”

Why is BJP govt not disclosing all names of foreign bank account holders?

28102014

Government of India has received a list of those who have bank accounts in foreign banks abroad. First the Congress-led UPA and now the BJP government at the centre is refusing to disclose all the names on this list.
Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan had addressed a press conference on On 9thNovember 2012, in which it was disclosed that the following names feature in this list:
Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambai
Anil Dhirubhai Ambani
Motech Software Private Ltd (Reliance Group company)
Reliance Industries Ltd
Sandeep Tandon
Anu Tandon
Kokila Dhirubhai Ambani
Naresh Kumar Goyal
Burmans (3 family members)
Yashovardhan Birla
Today, the BJP government has disclosed three names, one of which happens to be Pradip Burman. This name was there in the list disclosed by us two years back and hence, it further validates our earlier disclosure. Let the government clarify whether the other names mentioned above also appear in that list or not.
Income Tax Department raided a few of those whose names appear in this list. On 9th Nov 2012, we had disclosed the statements made by three individuals – namely Parminder Singh Kalra, Vikram Dhirani and Praveen Sawhney – before Income Tax authorities, when their premises were raided. These three individuals admitted to the offence. (Please find attached all the three statements with this press release). Surprisingly, their names do not appear in the list of three people, whose names have been disclosed by the Finance Ministry today. Why?
As per our information, action is being taken against those on the list selectively. Whereas harsh actions (like tax raids and prosecution) are being taken against some, the powerful ones are being let off.
Why did the central government disclose only these three names? Does the rest of the list contain names of those who are close to the BJP?
The BJP is believed to have spent thousands of crores of rupees in its election campaign first for the Lok Sabha elections and now on Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections. People suspect whether the list contains names of those who provided funds for the election campaign.
The Aam Aadmi Party demands that the BJP government should immediately take the following action –
  1. Immediately disclose the names of all account holders.
  2. Complete investigations in all cases in a time bound manner.
  3. Take strictest action against those who are guilty.
  4. The statements made by the three individuals named above before the Income Tax Department shows how easy it is to open a foreign bank account with illicit money, sitting at home in India. This is still going on.
  5. The government should immediately stop this hawala route.
  6. Initiate prosecution against these banks who have so far been involved in soliciting illicit money and transferring it abroad through hawala. (ENDS)

There are a total of 13 Electoral Trusts, only seven of which have been approved by the Central Bureau of Direct Taxes (CBDT) because they were formed after the CBDT rules governing Electoral Trusts were notified on the 31st January, 2013. The remaining six Electoral Trusts were already in existence before the CBDT rules for such Trusts were notified.
The seven Electoral Trusts formed after the CBDT rules came into effect are required to submit details of their donations to the ECI. The remaining six formed before the CBDT rules came into existence are not required to do so under the current dispensation. These six Electoral Trusts have donated more than Rs 105 crores to national parties between 2004-05 and 2011-12. Details of these donations are not known.
Since details of donors who made contributions to these six Electoral Trusts which were in existence before the CBDT rules are not known, it cannot be verified whether the funding of political parties through Electoral Trusts was not only a means of getting tax exemption but also a means to convert black money stashed in tax havens to white money in India.
Therefore details of donors of Rs 105 crores donated to political parties by the six Electoral Trusts which were formed before the CBDT rules came into existence, should also be disclosed. These Trusts include General Electoral Trust, Electoral Trust, Harmony Electoral Trust, Corporate Electoral Trust, Bharti Electoral Trust and Satya Electoral Trust.
